About Adrem Brands

Founded in 1951, Adrem Brands develops and distributes natural health products and functional foods. Sold in grocery and pharmacy chains across Canada, our brands include Wake-Ups, focused on alertness and enhanced cognitive performance, and Lissa Health, focused on beauty from within.

Business Development Associate

The Business Development Associate will join a nimble team responsible for growing Adrem Brands in Canada and targeted export markets. This cross-functional role draws on a variety of skills including project management, research, and marketing and communications. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, self-starter interested in building skills in brand management in the natural health and functional food industries. They bring an energetic results-oriented attitude to their work and thrive on new challenges.

Key Responsibilities


  • Maintain a deep understanding of Wake-Ups and Lissa Health consumers to support brand growth

  • Work with the management team to develop marketing strategies and plans

  • Lead social media content development (photo shoots, captions, posts), editorial calendar, and engagement

  • Manage brand ambassadors / influencer relationships

  • Support product development and go-to-market planning in Canada and target export markets

  • Manage e-commerce presence on Shopify and Amazon storefronts, order fulfillment, customer relationship management

  • Manage product listing platforms including RangeMe

  • Manage marketing materials, company presentations, product sheets

  • Marketing and Business development administrative tasks


Experience, Education and Designations

  • University degree, business or marketing-related preferred

  • Experience in a project management, marketing or related role

  • Experience in Food, Pharma or CPG industries, but will consider candidates with diverse backgrounds

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes

  • Strong project management skills

  • Highly organized, highly motivated self-starter

  • Understanding of social media content creation and promotion for brands

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Takes pride in being innovative, respectful, passionate, and accountable

  • MS Office, macOS, Canva
